LABOURING JOY

Every day I enjoy going to my workshop for woodturning

Making smal objects, large objects, parts and experiments.

I never boring...

BARBER

I recently came across another old craft: the barber.

The proffesion intrigued and inspired me and I strarted to delve into the history.

I became across wondrous statements that stimulated my imagination.

EXPERIMENTING

Again seated behind my lathe i experimented with form, lenght, and applications. I came to a design that is appreciated by many.

NEW POLE IN OLD COAT

I then went to work to give the pole an old look.

Uses special painting, patina and polishing the objects.

I completed a gilding training course beforeI started gilding the bulbs of the post.

Techniques that demand a lot of skill.

HOW AM I GOING TO FIX THE POLE ON THE WALL

This really gave me a headache figuring out how the suspension could be realized.

To find out the best way, I cut, sawed and welded metal.

WEATHER INFLUENCES

Then in my opinion the pole had to defy all kind of weather.

I started to work with durable enemels and painted the pole in polyester coating.

And than I came to the conclusion that my barberpoles may see the light!
